Practice Perfect Applied Jazz Ear Training Series concentrates on 12 Bar Blues, Minor Blues and Rhythm Changes. These three types of chord changes dominant the jazz lexicon so learning to hear them using contextual ear training skills is paramount to your success at playing these forms.  The whole idea behind the Jazz Ear Training Series is to get your ear hearing entire chord progressions in one key center.

The secondary goal is to get you to be able to sing any note as the progression proceeds and also to be hear any note and identify it function within the key center.  There are 12 different re-harmonizations for each of the three types of chord changes.  These re-harmonizations can be simple or quite complex. This series is the first of its kind to challenge a student to apply their ear training skills to real music with instant feedback on whether they are hearing or singing the correct pitch. Once you finish this series of courses you will find that your ability to hear music as it is playing to be greatly enhanced.

These courses are not meant for a beginner starting our ear training method. That said, the Practice Perfect Applied Ear Training Series can be used fairly quickly after a student is getting approximately 50% correct answers on either of our beginning methods:
