We are very excited to present this new course! it provides a comprehensive approach to working with the pentatonic scale. It is no exaggeration to state that the major pentatonic is one of the most used scales in music. It occurs through just about every culture and genre and is a building block of some of our most familiar and cherished melodies.This course explores the many ways that a major pentatonic scale can be used. From simple sequencing to the use of “side stepping,” ( see examples at bottom of page ) the major pentatonic is a rich resource for creating strong melodies. This course is recommended for all instruments, although fingerings have been provided for the guitar. The are 100’s of examples of side stepping down and up a half step and a tritone away in this course and of course the exercises are in all keys.

Side stepping sound is often achieved by using four note patterns. This book dedicates a large section understanding and learning to play freely with this concept. The are 100’s of examples of side stepping down and up a half step and a tritone away in this course and of course the exercises are in all keys.
