"ChopBusters: 013 Diatonic Chords for Major Modes, Pyramid Five" is part of a series of books that explores various technical exercises to help gain familiarity and technical proficiency with advanced improvisational concepts. The "Pyramid Series" presents chords in a modal sequence that creates a pattern. These patterns are a useful tool for memorizing diatonic chords but are also a very musical way to apply the 013 diatonic chords to the Major Modes. The audio files that accompany this course will help you hone your accuracy, but can also be used for ear training and improvisation.

This book gives you diatonic chords for all the modes of major. That includes Major, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, and Locrian. These chords are played sequentially up and down each mode in all 12 keys. The voicings used are in closed position which make them playable on all chordal instruments along with making them physically easier to master. There are MP3s and midi files that come with this "ChopBuster" course which can be used to check your accuracy, but also to slowly build up your speed.
