Our ear training books/CDs use a contextual based approach. This is different from interval training and requires that you memories the sound of all 12 pitches against a key center. These ear training books are meant for the musician that wants to perform in groups where they need to identify what notes and chords other musicians are playing with a close to instant recognition. They are also useful for the musician who wants to transcribe music or for composers who want to know what notes they are hearing in their head. In otherwords these books are for musicians who want to know what other musicians are playing and know the sounds that they hearing at as quick a rate as possible.
